Jens van t Wout (NED) has won his second Gold medal at the Olympics on the 1500m in a time of 2.12.219. The 2nd place was for Daeheon Hwang (KOR) in 2.12.304 and the 3rd place for Robert Kruzbergs (LAT) in 2.12.376.

Jens van t Wout (NED) is the winner of the Gold medal at the 1000m Olympic competition in a time of 1.24.537. Xandra Velzeboer (NED) won the Gold medal at the 500 m of the Olympic winter games in Milan. In the semi final she skated a World Record at this distance. All preparations of Milano Ice rink for the Shorttrack competitions has been done. All skaters and officials have arrived and all equipment like Photofinish Timing and administration is in position. For the signal of the last lap a real Bell will be used. This bell is specially made with the logo of the Olympics in it. Ready for the Shorttrack competition!
