This week: Calendar meeting Short Track in Paris

1 May 2017   -   on 29-30 April representatives of the European countries came together for the 2017 Short Track Calendar Meeting. The meeting was hosted by the French Skating Federation in the beautifull city of Paris. The meeting was attended by 18 delegates from European countries.
    The competitions of the past season, the StarClass and Danubia-cup competitions and the Europacup Final were evaluated and new regulations were discussed. The proposals for venues and dates of the international Short Track competitions were discussed and the provisional calendar was composed.
    The final of the Danubia Cup and StarClass, the Europacup Final, will in 2018 take place in Ventspils - Latvia. The provisional competition calendar will be published in a short time on this website, but be aware that still changes can be made. The official calendar will be published after ratification by the ISU at the ISU Congress in the beginning of june.


This week: 6th Oberstdorf Shorttrack Summercamp

27 April 2017   -   The 6th edition of the Oberstdorf Shorttrack Summercamp is held from 29 July-5 August 2017. The Summercamp is organized by the volunteers of and the Eissportclub Oberstdorf supported by the Sports Office Oberstdorf. It is expected that more then 120 shorttrack skaters from all over the world will come to Oberstdorf this year.
    There will be 56 hours of ice time in this week for training including a two days international competition. Besides the Ice training there will be a lot of other activities like Welcome Barbeque, Mountainrun competition, Inline Triathlon and a Closing dinner. Oberstdorf is also famous for its perfect mountainbike tracks.

This week: Europacup Final now on WEB-TV

It can be seen "on demand" on the page WEB-TV. All races are also connected directly to the competition results and to the personal result page of the skaters.

    Welcome at the website which is dedicated to shorttrack-speedskating. This website gives competition-information, results, statistics, background-information etc. and is specially made for skaters, competition-organizers, statisticians, journalists and everybody who is interested in shorttrack-speedskating. The in this website imbedded entry-system allows federations and clubs to enter skaters for competitions and is a helpful tool for competition-organisers. On the webpage “services” a number of extra facilities are available for professional use.


PB-Event: for Sport and Events

    PB-Event is a Dutch company that is specialized in Sound, Telecommunication and Timing equipment. They are also Producers for big and small sport events. Moreover, they have worked for many years in Short Track Speed Skating.
    PB-Event is doing jobs all over the world. They have worked for the Grand Prix Track & Field in Mexico, the Grand Prix Thales FBK Games in the Netherlands and for the Grand Prix Track & Field of Shanghai as well. In the Netherlands they supply the technical equipment for many (sport) events. Contracted by the Rabobank cycling team, they have gone for a many years to the Tour de France. Their Telecommunication equipment has been used at the Olympic Games of Salt Lake City and also at the Olympic Games of Torino.

Star Class

A ‘Star Class’ Competition is an International Competition in Short Track Speed Skating in accordance with all Regulations of the International Skating Union, which has been designated as such during the annual planning meeting of European Members of the ISU.
