This week: Oberstdorf Shorttrack Summercamp
13 June 2026 -
For the 15th edition of the Oberstdorf Shorttrack Summercamp over 160 skaters from 35 clubs out of 8 countries have entered. Skaters who want to come but did not enter yet are requested to wait not too long because the entry will close in a few weeks and a lot of preparations for the summercamp have to be made in advance. Entry can be done by the clubs on the page ENTRY of this website. All information can be found on the special website for the summercamp on Skatingonline.info. After the entry has closed skaters have to fill in a special questionnaire form on the page INFO-Entry Procedure on the website Skatingonline.info. In this form also the information will be given for the payment of the entry fee for the summercamp. During the Summercamp over 100 hours of Ice time is available and a lot of other sportive activities will take place. The summercamp will start with the welcome party on saturday evening 1 August.

This week: ISU congress
13 June 2026 -
At the ISU congress in Tenerife the new Shorttrack committee is elected for the period 2026 to 2030. Chairperson is Wim de Deyne (BEL) and the members are So Hee Kim (KOR), Christoph Milz (GER) and Pascal Dion (CAN). Corné Lepoeter, former President of the Belgium federation, is choosen into the council of the ISU for speedskating in general.

This week: in memoriam Willy Caboor (Belgium)
10 June 2026 -
On the 8th of june Willy Caboor passed away while sleeping. For many years he was the Chairman of the Boudewijn Park Snelschaats Club Brugge and a big promotor for shorttrack in Belgium. He started the club in 1969 and started organising national and international competitions. In 1975 for the first time skaters from the Netherlands were invited to his competition. This was the official start of shorttrack in the Netherlands. The international competition in Brugge became bigger and bigger and also a seperate competition for juniors was started up. This developed later into the famous Easter Tournement what still is held in Gent (BEL). Thanks to Willy Caboor and his volunteer friends and family shorttrack developed in the beginning years very well in West Europa.

This week: In memoriam Karel Verbeek (NED)
9 June 2026 -
On the 5th of june Karel Verbeek (NED) passed away. By live he has been the co-writer of the famous skating statistical yearbook "Schaatsseizoen". Through the years he developped to be the shorttrack specialist into the editorial team and published over a period of almost 50 years about shorttrack from all over the world. Besides this he was a member of the Technical Committee Shorttrack of the Netherlands and has been president of the Dutch federation KNSB.

Welcome at the website ShorttrackOnLine.info which is dedicated to shorttrack-speedskating. This website gives competition-information, results, statistics, background-information etc. and is specially made for skaters, competition-organizers, statisticians, journalists and everybody who is interested in shorttrack-speedskating. The in this website imbedded entry-system allows federations and clubs to enter skaters for competitions and is a helpful tool for competition-organisers. On the webpage SERVICES a number of extra facilities are available for professional use.

PB-Event: for Sport and Events

PB-Event is a company from the Netherlands specialized in Sports Production, Timing, Telecommunication and Audio systems for sport events. They are also Producers for big and small Sport events. They also have been active for more then 50 years in speedskating and shorttrack. They have been working for the Grand Prix Track & Field Mexico, the Grand Prix Thales FBK Games in the Netherlands and for the Diamond League athletics in Shanghai. In the Netherlands they supply the technical equipment for many (sport) events. Contracted by the Rabobank cycling team, they have gone for a many years to the Tour de France. Their Telecommunication equipment has been used at the Olympic Games of Salt Lake City and also at the Olympic Games of Torino.
