This week: National Junior Championships Netherlands
19 March 2025 -
On 22-23 March 2025 the National Junior Championships of the Netherlands is held in Leeuwarden. 107 skaters from 18 clubs are competing for the national titles in the categories Juniors-C/B/A and Neo-Seniors. A live-stream of this event will be available on the page Web-TV of this website and on our special channel on Youtube.
On saturday morning, before the National Junior Championships starts the final of the Regional series of Netherlands-West, Netherlands North-East and Benelux series are held.

This week: Special Olympics World Winter Games

From 11-14 March 2025 the Special Olympics World Winter Games were held in Torino-Italy. In total 1470 athletes from 102 countries attended this event. On the program were 8 different winter sports. Among them also Shorttrack. In the shorttrack competition 75 skaters from 27 countries competed.
The results of the shorttrack competition can be found on this website on the page competitions. The results can also be seen on the Personal Page of the skaters.
The next Special Olympic World Winter Games will be held in 4 years time in Switzerland. The Special Olympic World Summer Games will be held in 2 years in Chili.

PB-Event: for Sport and Events

PB-Event is a company from the Netherlands specialized in Sports Production, Timing, Telecommunication and Audio systems for sport events. They are also Producers for big and small Sport events. They also have been active for more then 50 years in speedskating and shorttrack. They have been working for the Grand Prix Track & Field Mexico, the Grand Prix Thales FBK Games in the Netherlands and for the Diamond League athletics in Shanghai. In the Netherlands they supply the technical equipment for many (sport) events. Contracted by the Rabobank cycling team, they have gone for a many years to the Tour de France. Their Telecommunication equipment has been used at the Olympic Games of Salt Lake City and also at the Olympic Games of Torino.
