- The second distance of the World Junior Championships was the 500m. Maame Biney (USA) was here the strongest, 2nd was Xandra Velzebier (NED) and 3rd Georgie Dalrymple (NED). The Mens 500m was won by Tae-Sung Kim (KOR), 2nd was Long Sun (CHN) and 3rd Pietro Sighel (ITA).
